To obtain the certification of Authorized Economic Operator, a request must be submitted to the AEAT (State Tax Administration Agency). This agency will be responsible for checking that the following requirements are met by the company that requests it:
• Accredited financial solvency.
• History of compliance with customs regulations.
• Strict control of accounting, mercantile, computer and customs procedures.
• Levels of physical security in the facilities (for security certification).
